Faith, community, and service: Our church tradition

Quarter Two 2025 brought one of our most treasured bi-annual traditions, gathering with the families we serve at our local parish church, where familiar faces light up with recognition and children we’ve watched grow taller run up to greet us. For years, our parish priest has graciously offered two Sundays annually, creating a sacred space where healthcare updates blend seamlessly with personal stories, laughter echoes between the pews, and genuine relationships flourish beyond clinical visits.

As our voices joined together in hymns that some community members taught us years ago, we felt the profound weight of being trusted with their health and hope. This isn’t just community engagement, it’s coming home to the reason we started this work, surrounded by the mothers who have shared their fears, the elders who have offered wisdom, and the children whose bright futures keep us going when the work gets tough.
