2025 Q3 REPORT

As we close the third quarter of 2025, I am filled with pride and gratitude for the progress we continue to make in advancing community health in Uganda. At Nama Wellness Community Centre (NAWEC), our mission remains clear: to deliver compassionate, equitable, and high-quality healthcare that
transforms lives and strengthens systems from the ground up.
This quarter, we continued to demonstrate our strong dedication to the communities we serve. Through our proCHW model, we:

  • reached hundreds of thousands of households, conducting over 215,000 home visits;
  • facilitated the immunisation of over 162,771 children,
  • supported 25,000 women to access family planning services.

Our Kangaroo Mother Care Project is saving the lives of vulnerable and low-birth-weight neonates, while our mental health initiatives achieved a remarkable 95% recovery rate among participants, fostering resilience and hope within our communities.

We made important strides in our advocacy and policy agenda, ensuring that the voices of Community Health Workers (CHWs) are represented at national and global levels. Our active role in the Community Health Impact Coalition (CHIC) and the Community Health Partners Coalition Uganda is helping to shape policies that strengthen community health systems.
At the 80 United Nations General Assembly, NAWEC proudly stood among global leaders, sharing Uganda's experiences and advocating for equitable, people-centred healthcare.

None of the achievements and impact we create would have been possible without our committed staff, dedicated CHWS, and our valued partners, whose trust and collaboration continue to propel us forward. Together, we are proving that when healthcare is grounded in compassion, community, and
evidence, it creates lasting change.

As we enter the final quarter of the year, we are guided by a renewed sense of purpose to deepen our impact and drive
lasting change. Our rebrand, which will be launched in Q4, marks a bold step towards redefining who we are and how we serve. We are closing infrastructure gaps, securing consistent medical supplies, and pursuing sustainable funding to amplify our reach. With each step, we move closer to a future where every community has access to quality care and no one is left behind.
